Hearts Beating Faster
His lips caressed her, fingers tracing across mocha skin stretched tautly over muscles that jumped and rippled under his touch. The soft sounds she made in the darkness as she moved beneath him were a promise and he answered with a promise of his own as she returned his touch. Her nails raked his shoulders, digging into the bunched muscles of his back, making him arch away from her, groaning.
Hands tangled in her brown curls, pulling her lips to his, possessing her mouth with a frantic passion, tongue desperate to know every secret her warm mouth had to offer. Twisted together in the soft sheets, bodies rolling in unison as first one and then the other gained the upper position.
She wanted this as much as he did…no, more than he did. She wanted to know this man who had exploded into her life, sweeping her senses away like a wild wind.
He had allowed her to glimpse into his soul, shown her the passion, the strength, the loneliness, the fear that was him. A gift he had offered to no one else. Understand me, don't be afraid of me….
Love me...
The feel of his calloused fingers on her skin, her touch on his scarred flesh, the white lines and ridges that covered his muscular body as he moved,
made her heart race. It made him gasp and draw away, so she had pulled him closer to let him know it was all right. She didn't care.
There were no words, only breathing and the sounds of escalating fever. A final roll and he was on her, their bodies coming together as gracefully as a dance. God, it was so much better when you gave a damn about who you were with, he thought. His body curved against her arched chest, shuddering, his teeth dragging down her throat as she cried out……
He opened his eyes as he felt her body relax beneath him. Pain filled his eyes as he saw her face and his beautiful smile slowly faded away as he realized it wasn't Cassie…..again.
